I was raised by a family of builders and nature-lovers who were never without a project. From a young age my hands have been busy planting seeds, picking wildflowers and painting landscapes. My happiest moments have been spent in forests and fields, gathering materials and creating new things.
The work I do now - painting and sewing, gardening and foraging, feel like a quiet form of activism. Interrupting the disposable cycle of consumerism, seeing beauty in that which is common and cast aside, maintaining a relationship with my food and medicine by getting to know the plants outside my doorstep, all of these things are radical reclamations of an older and more holistic way of living.
I make things that are beautiful and useful, that celebrate our relationship with the natural world and incorporate art into everyday life.
